Dog Rescue Story Trending at, He had no food or water 😔
A young white husky named Buckley sat on a cracked patch of cement in Santa Monica, California. He was tied to a pole. He watched the world pass him by. Days stretched on as the 6-month-old pup, alone and without food or water, waited patiently for someone to notice him and offer the safety he so desperately needed.
Finally, a local rescuer spotted Buckley’s soulful brown eyes. Moved by his plight, she acted quickly, ensuring he was taken off the streets and brought into the care of Love Leo Rescue.
Meeting Buckley for the first time, the rescue team was struck by his gentle nature and enduring spirit. Despite his tough beginnings, Buckley radiated warmth and love.
“Buckley is an exceptional dog,” said Sasha Abelson, director of Love Leo Rescue. “He’s incredibly loving and resilient. His previous experiences haven’t dimmed his bright and wonderful personality.”
Soon, Buckley was placed with a foster family, where he began to thrive. He quickly embraced his new life, enjoying outdoor adventures and making fast friends with other dogs.
“Buckley is your typical happy-go-lucky husky,” Abelson added. “He loves playing with his dog buddies, going on hikes, and cuddling with his humans. He’s the perfect family dog.”
Though he’s safe and thriving in foster care, Buckley is still waiting for his forever home. His ideal family would be active and have another playful, balanced dog to keep him company.
“Having a dog sibling would be wonderful for Buckley,” Abelson shared. “We’re hopeful he’ll find his perfect match soon.”
With his cheerful spirit and loving heart, it’s only a matter of time before Buckley’s forever family finds him.
