Watch This German Shepherd Defend Her Home and Maltipoo Brother From Coyotes

Dogs are known for forming deep bonds with their human families. This brave German Shepherd showed just how strong the bond can be between dogs. She fearlessly defended her brother. Princeton “Prince,” a Maltipoo, was attacked by a pack of three coyotes in their backyard.

The two inseparable pups were enjoying the evening outdoors. The coyotes scaled a 7-foot fence and launched an attack on Prince. Without hesitation, the German Shepherd sprang into action. She barked loudly at the back door to alert her owner, Juliah Taylor. She circled the coyotes to keep them away from Prince. Thanks to her quick thinking, Taylor was able to bring both dogs to safety inside.

Prince suffered several deep cuts and needed emergency surgery, but he survived the attack thanks to his sister’s intervention. According to a fundraiser update from Taylor, Prince’s surgeries were successful, and he is now on the road to recovery.

“We’re incredibly blessed to still have him with us,” Taylor shared. “Though the recovery process will be long, our little guy is incredibly strong.”
