Woman Builds a ‘Dog Train’ to Take Disabled Rescue Pups on Joyful Adventures

Smiling faces and wagging tails prove it’s a ride of pure happiness ❤️

Dog Train: Buket Özgünlü, founder of the Paws Holding on to Life Association in Turkey, has created a delightful invention called a dog train. This heartwarming effort brings joy to disabled rescue dogs. This unique project has become a source of happiness for dozens of special pups and has inspired people across the community.

A Sanctuary for Forgotten Souls

Train for Disabled Dogs

For over four years, Özgünlü has poured her heart into rescuing and caring for stray dogs, particularly those with disabilities. At her countryside sanctuary, she looks after 560 dogs, many of whom are paralyzed or victims of neglect and abuse.

“They were all rescued,” Özgünlü explained. “The majority of them are paralyzed. Some have been shot, beaten, or abandoned. All of them have a past.”

Despite their difficult beginnings, these dogs have found peace and comfort under Özgünlü’s care. Her mission is simple but profound: to offer a better future to dogs who have no one else.

A Joyful Journey on Wheels Dog Train

While the sanctuary provides a safe haven with plenty of room for the dogs to play in their wheelchairs, Özgünlü wanted to give them more — a chance to explore the world beyond their home. That’s when inspiration struck. Using barrels, wheels, and a bit of ingenuity, she created a “dog train” that allows the pups to go on joyful adventures around town.

“I’d actually been thinking about doing such a project for a long time,” she shared. “I was very happy that I did.”

The dogs now hop aboard their custom-built train, tails wagging, as they ride through town taking in new sights and sounds. It’s a moment of pure magic that melts hearts wherever the train travels.

Bringing Smiles to the Community

The “dog train” has quickly become a local sensation. As Özgünlü pulls her happy crew through the streets, the sight of beaming dogs brings joy to everyone around. Passersby stop to wave, smile, and share in the dogs’ happiness.

“Many people like it, and it makes me even happier,” Özgünlü said, reflecting on the heartwarming response.

For these dogs, who have been through so much, these little adventures represent freedom, excitement, and love. Their joyful expressions and wagging tails say more than words ever could.

A Labor of Love

Caring for disabled dogs isn’t easy, but for Özgünlü, their happiness is the greatest reward. Inspired by her father’s disability, she prioritizes these dogs because they need the most care and love.

“I know very well how much they need it,” she said.

Thanks to her dedication, these once-forgotten dogs are now living their best lives. Whether it’s rolling through the sanctuary in wheelchairs or riding in their beloved dog train, Özgünlü ensures that no pup is left behind.
