Sink Frog: A Florida couple, Brian and Cathy, had an unusual surprise. It changed their lives in the most unexpected way. About six weeks ago, their normal bathroom routine took a wild turn. Cathy screamed after noticing something unusual in their sink. She saw a tiny pair of eyes peeking out from the overflow hole.
A Surprise Guest in the Sink
Cathy and Brian discovered a small frog had made itself at home in their bathroom. The frog had somehow found its way through the plumbing, likely entering through a vent on their roof. Though Florida is known for its wildlife, neither expected to share their sink with a frog.
“My wife screamed when she saw the head poking through the hole,” Brian explained. They quickly realized this was no ordinary bathroom visitor. Instead, this was a new housemate—a frog they affectionately named “Sink frog.”
Frog Refuses to Leave
At first, the couple was concerned that Sink frog might be stuck in the overflow hole. However, they soon realized that their new guest was not trapped. In fact, Sink frog seemed quite comfortable, using the hole as a hideout and coming and going as he pleased.
Brian and Cathy tried coaxing the frog out, but Sink frog was content staying right where he was. The couple posted updates on social media, where Sink frog’s unusual living situation quickly gained attention. Despite the frog’s growing internet fame, he stubbornly remained holed up in their sink.
“We needed to clear the sink because our adult son was coming for a visit,” Brian explained. However, Cathy, an animal lover, refused to hurt the little frog.

Sink Frog Finally Emerges
After several weeks of patiently waiting, Brian and Cathy were finally able to get a good look at Sinkfrog. It was then that they discovered he was a Cuban tree frog, an invasive species in Florida. This posed a dilemma for the couple, as releasing him into the wild was not a responsible option.
“We had to either euthanize or keep Sinkfrog,” Brian shared. Not wanting to harm him, they chose to keep him.
Gets a New Home
Sinkfrog had lived in their sink for so long that he had become a part of their lives. Brian and Cathy wanted to give him a better home. They purchased a large terrarium. This created a comfortable new environment for their tiny friend.
“We’ve been able to watch and interact with Sink frog once we freed him,” Brian said. He explained that this interaction helped them form a bond with the frog. “Now, he’s got it good.”
A New Life for Sink Frog
Although Sink frog now lives in his terrarium, Brian admits that old habits die hard. “I still look into that hole every time I go into the bathroom, expecting to see his little head. Then I remember he’s living large in his new home.”
What began as a shocking discovery in their sink has transformed into a warm bond. The couple and their unexpected housemate now share this bond. Sink frog was once a shy little frog in their bathroom. Now, he is a social media star. Fans follow his adventures on TikTok and Instagram.
Brian and Cathy’s life may have taken an unusual turn, but they couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. Sink frog, their tiny bathroom guest, has found a forever home.
