Pakistani musician Haniya Aslam, one-half of Zeb-Haniya, has passed away. Haniya passed away on August 11, Sunday. The news was confirmed by Zeb aka Zeb Bangash via Instagram. The musician reportedly died of a cardiac arrest. Haniya was Zeb’s cousin and together, they created magical tunes, especially on Coke Studio Pakistan. The duo’s hits from the show included the song Chal Diye.
On Monday morning, Zeb took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures with a tribute. “Hanini ✨♥️,” she wrote along with the picture. Several artists and social media users took to the comments section and offered their prayers. “Inna lillahe wa inna ilaehe raje’oon – she was always so sweet and a brilliant talent – im so sorry for your loss and pray that Allah Pak gives you and the family sabr during this difficult time – Allah Pak Janat ul firdous main jaga dain Ameen,” a comment read.
“What an immense loss! She was a beautiful and talented soul. She will forever be missed. May Allah grant her soul eternal peace and you and the family the strength to bear this loss with fortitude,” a second person wrote. “Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun… all my love to you Zeb. Your names are forever entwined in music and memory for me. So much love,” a third user said.
