Danny Jones Crowned King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity 2024

Danny Jones Triumphs in a Challenging Season

Danny Jones is crowned as the King of the Jungle. This happened in the 2024 edition of I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here. He has been crowned. Known for his resilience and charm, the star faced numerous grueling trials. He endured unpleasant concoctions and was covered in creepy crawlies and snakes. He lived in one of the harshest environments imaginable.

His perseverance paid off as he emerged victorious, beating fan favorites Reverend Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney in the finale. Coles was a beloved contestant. However, people saw Jones and Rooney as the strongest contenders from the outset.

Coleen Rooney Narrowly Misses the Win

Rooney, alongside Danny Jones and N-Dubz singer Tulisa, was one of the early favorites to claim the jungle crown. Known for her sharp wit, she earned the nickname “Wagatha Christie.” She managed to expose the fake camp luxury enjoyed by Maura Higgins and Reverend Coles. However, despite her efforts and strong fan following, Rooney couldn’t clinch the title.

Jones’s open discussions about his struggles with anxiety won over viewers. These discussions gave him the edge in a closely contested season.

Danny Reflects on His Journey in the Jungle

Before his win, Danny Jones shared emotional reflections on his experience in the jungle. He highlighted the personal growth he experienced during the challenging adventure.

“This is totally insane,” Jones said. “I’ve learned so much about myself, and that’s because the campmates were unbelievable. They made it so easy for us to get through the hard times. I’ve experienced some of the hardest times in my life. I’ve also reached some of the highest highs. I just tried to have fun along the way.”

He also emphasized the harsh reality of the experience. He noted, “It was way harder than what it comes across on TV. You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic. But it’s real in there.”

No Prize Money or Keepsakes for the Winner

Despite earning the coveted crown and title, Danny Jones will not receive any prize money for his victory. Contestants on I’m A Celebrity are paid a flat fee, regardless of how far they progress in the competition. The only condition is that they must remain in the jungle for at least 72 hours.

Additionally, the King of the Jungle won’t even get to keep his crown or scepter. Last year’s winner, Sam Thompson, revealed on This Morning that winners must return the items before leaving Australia.

“I didn’t get to keep anything!” Thompson laughed. and really wanted to bring it through airport security because it’s quite big. But yeah, I don’t have anything to show for it.”

Fans Celebrate Danny’s Victory and Journey

Despite the lack of material rewards, Danny Jones’s victory resonates deeply with fans. They have praised his authenticity, humility, and openness about mental health. His journey has been an inspiring testament to resilience, growth, and determination under extreme circumstances.
