Scruffy Puppy Left Tied to a Pole Waits All Night for Rescue

“I seriously can’t believe how many people just did nothing.” 💔

Suzette Hall, a dedicated dog rescuer, is no stranger to heartbreaking situations. She often saves dogs who are found wandering alone on the streets of Los Angeles, California. However, over the weekend, she encountered a case that was different. It was an abandoned dog who couldn’t leave his spot even if he tried.

This poor pup had been left tied to a pole in a residential area, helpless and stuck on the sidewalk. Scared, confused, and lonely, he watched as people passed by without offering any assistance.
“He was there all night, tied to that pole,” Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, shared on Facebook. “I seriously can’t believe how many people just walked by and did nothing.”

That night, a pack of coyotes roamed through the neighborhood. Despite being tethered and defenseless, the little dog somehow managed to survive. Though small and vulnerable, the pup displayed incredible bravery. When Hall arrived at the scene, she was moved by his calm and gentle nature, despite all he had endured.
“What a sweet baby who did nothing to deserve that,” Hall said. “I promised him we would figure it all out.”

Naming him Piñata, Hall made a vow to find him a loving home. She quickly untied his leash, scooped him up in her arms, and carried him to her van. As they drove away, Piñata seemed to realize he was finally safe. In that moment, he closed his eyes and fell into a peaceful sleep.
“The best part is that he knew it was going to be OK. My favorite part is that he fell asleep on the way to my vet,” Hall wrote.

They soon arrived at Camino Pet Hospital, where Piñata was given a thorough medical examination. To Hall’s relief, he was in good health. Piñata had a soothing bath and some well-deserved rest. Then he was taken to his new foster home. He’s been thriving there ever since.
“He is so sweet and kind,” Hall told The Dodo.

Now in foster care, Piñata is full of joy and is eagerly waiting for his forever family. He’ll be available for adoption soon. Until then, he’s making the most of his new life. He is showering his rescuers with gratitude.
“He is beyond grateful to be rescued,” Hall said. “Just look at his smiles now.”
