Grace has always adored her owner, Shelby Salmela, but her connection with Salmela’s mother—Grace’s grandma—has been something extra special. Even after her surgery, Grace’s excitement hasn’t faded. When Grandma comes to visit, Grace’s heart guides her right into her arms.

Though Grace can no longer see, her reaction to her grandma’s visits is nothing short of heartwarming. As soon as Grace senses Grandma’s presence, she becomes visibly excited. “It’s so cute to see. Grace gets excited when she realizes that the person at the door is her GG,” Shelby said.

They now only visit a few times a year, but thanks to daily FaceTime calls, the connection is never lost.
